The new Honda Ridgeline is not an old model and it’s already preparing to up the game with a new installment. As of now, we’re certain that the new one is on the way, but how much can be told right now?
What to Expect?

Honda was clear with one notion – Ridgeline is coming strong and it will receive a new trim called TrailSport. The photos that we provided above do not show the full picture. While some people believe it’s the new trim, many remain convinced that it is also a facelift for the existing Ridgeline.
According to sources from AutoBlog, we are looking at the prototype of an improved, but standard Ridgeline. At the moment it’s hard to tell. In the years prior, Honda has given a green light to bless their Passport and Pilot models with a TrailSport trim so it’s only logical that Ridgeline would follow suit.
If you take a look at the photos from CarScoops we linked above you’ll notice that the parts of the vehicle covered are focused on the front and rear ends. This usually screams that we’re looking at a facelift. Furthermore, nothing in the photos shows that these vehicles are packed for off-road adventures so we can almost say that it is not a TrailSport version.
Will a facelift Bring Engine and Transmission Changes?
Usually, a facelift, is what the name suggests, a change of the exterior and interior features. Sometimes, a company decides that they will power up their powertrain options, but we believe that’s not the case this time around. According to carscoops.com, it’s most likely that Ridgeline will stick to its nine-speed automatic transmission paired with a 3.5-liter V6 engine that packs 280hp and 262 lb-ft of torque. All-wheel drive is a must and you shouldn’t expect any changes in that domain too.
The lack of changes in this domain is to be expected as their primary rivals Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon only made a few cosmetic changes to their models. In the coming months, the same is expected from the Toyota Tacoma and Ford Ranger, so Honda will follow suit.

Price and Release Date
Honda wasn’t shy of showing their plans to make some of their models more contemporary. Ridgeline is on that list but we do not own any official information. What’s clear is that the work is most certainly done on the 2024 Ridgeline as the spy photos were captured more than half a year ago.
The suggestion that gives us is that we should see the new model out later this year. In terms of price, Honda will have to make tweaks compared to the current $40,175 based on the number of upgrades, inflation, and the market situation on the date of release.
